El Bulli was a restaurant located in Spain that was highly regarded as one of the best in the world with its 3 Stars from Michelin. The unique thing other than their innovative approach to cooking, was that Head Chef Ferran Adrià would close the restaurant for six months of the year to prepare a new menu for their next operating season. Unfortunately the restaurant has shut down but will reopen as a culinary creative center known as the El Bulli Foundation in 2014.
The documentary El Bulli - Cooking in Progress, follows Ferran Adrià and his team for a year as they experiment and create exciting new dishes for their restaurant patrons. Watching this will be the closest I'll get to actually being there.
