Swedish designers Anna Haupt and Terese Alstin have developed an innovative approach to bike safety and the helmet. Their product called the "Hövding" started out as a design thesis project to see whether the pair could improve the bicycle helmet in any way. The resulting "Invisible Bicycle Helmet" was created and utilises an airbag system that is hidden in a collar setup that the rider wears and is activated when the sensor detects any abnormal movements made by the cyclist.
The Hövding also allows you to customise it's outer shell so that you can match what you are wearing. Safety and style, very nice.
